33 countries including India do not require visa; Iran with announcement, target tourism
Many countries have recently relaxed visa regulations to promote tourism. Several countries, including Thailand and Sri Lanka, have announced visa-free entry for people from countries including India. The African country of Kenya has announced that no one needs a visa to enter their country. Now Iran has announced visa-free entry for tourists from 33 countries including India.
According to this, citizens of 33 countries such as Saudi Arabia, India, Russia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and Lebanon do not need a visa to enter Iran. The new decision was announced by Isadullah Dargami, Iran's Minister of Culture and Tourism. Dargami said in a press conference that the country's doors are being opened to the world. Comfortable movement is a human right. He also stated that the world is preparing an opportunity to enjoy the great features of the nation of Iran.
This move by the Iranian government is to change the perception of Iran in the world tourism sector and to prove that the country is tourist friendly. Earlier, visa exemption was announced for tourists from countries including China, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Syria. By offering it to more countries, it is expected that more foreign tourists will visit Iran and earn more foreign exchange.
Figures indicate that such moves are giving energy to the country's tourism sector. According to eight months of this year, 40.4 lakh foreign tourists have arrived in Iran. This is an increase of 48.5 percent compared to the previous year. Many Indians visit Iran for its magnificent historical architecture, culture, landscape and cuisine.
