The world's oldest crown prince is the next ruler of Kuwait

 

Kuwait City ∙ Sheikh Meshaal Al Ahmed Al Jaber, who is believed to be the oldest Crown Prince in the world, is the next ruler of Kuwait. He is now 83 years old. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs announced this today following the demise of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah. Various media reports that he is preparing to take over from Ameer.

Condolences poured in from Gulf countries shortly after the Kuwaiti Royal Court confirmed Sheikh Nawaf's death. Three days of mourning have been announced in the UAE.
