London ∙ Britain's eight-year-old girl won the European Women's Chess Championship. Britain's 'Wonder Girl' Bodhana Sivanandan won the European Blitz Championship in Croatia. This little genius achieved this incredible feat by toppling several International Masters and a Grand Master. This title is achieved with 8.5 points out of thirteen.


Bodhana is a member of an Indian family that migrated to Britain from Tamil Nadu. Born in Harrow, North West London, Dhanna started playing chess at the age of five. He became the European champion at the age of eight. Blitz Chess is a fast-paced competitive game within a time limit. Blitz chess games are completed in as little as three to five minutes. This little guy excels in both standard and rapid games. Many people who have suffered defeat from an eight-year-old girl described this girl as a miraculous phenomenon on social media. With this victory, the Tamil-born Tarodayam has become a new hot topic on the world chess map.

Dominic Lawson, president of the English Chess Federation, said the incredible performance of teaching was an unprecedented achievement for the country. He also described that teaching is about careful strategic moves with maturity beyond age. British international master and commentator Laurence Trent responded that Bodhana is the best talent seen in recent times. Trent also wrote on social media that this boy is sure to grow up to be England's best chess player ever. The chess world sees Bodhana as a successor to Judith Polgar, Grandmaster at fifteen, Magnus Carlsen, Grandmaster at thirteen, and Ho Yifan, Grandmaster at fourteen.
